Viking game assets (online course) (2019)

Some game assets that i made while doing an online course for Blender3d and Substance Painter. My personal goal while doing this course was to learn some advanced Blender3d techniques and to learn a professional workflow with Substance Painter.

Workflow

The finished product of this course where multiple game ready assets for a Viking setting game with realistic looking materials. To achieve this first I modeled a high poly asset and a low poly asset which I UV-unwrapped. This was needed to bake the details of the high poly asset as textures on the low poly asset inside Substance Painter. In the end, I exported four different Textures (Base Color, Metallic, Roughness and Normal Map) out of Substance Painter to achieve the wanted look for my assets.

First asset: Mug
